WILD AUTOCHTHONOUS ANIMALS
TRIKU/KIRIKIŅO PROYECT
The hedgehog is a small animal and it's threated
by many factors that put their survival in danger.
Often we find hedgehogs by the ditch
of the road, after beeing run over
by cars.
Last spring we found 6 hedgehog-babys in their nest
and their mother liying dead on the road.
We tryed to save them... and there they are now!
They are walking free around. Some days ago,
we weighed one of them that use to come
to eat the delicious hard-boiled eggs and
      he weighs already 1,100 kg.
We hope that next spring increases the hedgehogs population
of the valley, and by the way they keep our garden
clean of insects and worms that damage our harvest.
