Arruan Haundi is an old building (16th century) that could be
an ironworks (called Arrubia) and that nowadays
is a farm with ecological activities.
We think the farm is about 400 years old,
and we are working today to keep it alive for at least the same...
With the effort we do daily, we try to promote
the autochthonous biodiversity and fauna. At the farm,
there are "latxa" sheeps, pottoka horses (basque race)
and "euskal txerri" (pigs). All of them are breeded
in the open air; that way they help to preserve the
mountain and fields around the farm.
